"Advanced" Algebra Is
Child's Play.

MAJOR UPGRADE!!!

Homeschool math made easy. Get a password and watch some videos...and your little kids will be doing math like this in no time. You'll also see: there's no trick, the kid in the video understands what he's doing on a level that exceeds most highschool graduates twice his age. This video is 90 seconds long and if you haven't watched it yet I recommend you do so...you will see it on several pages here at the house of math for many reasons...I taught him and his parents way back in the early 90's. I've gotten better at it since then. (If you look closely you can see me in the background, my interview was edited out of this clip...there is one with me along with several other trainers in it but I can't find it.)

And as you can see here, by the time they are nine this kind of math isn't very impressive to kids who know how to do it.

Many homeschool parents wonder how they are going to teach their kids algebra when they never really understood it themselves. It is the most failed subject in the USA, after all.

Well: problem solved.

Get a Module IV Password and not only do you get in here but in quite a few other pages as well. This page is basically a text book for homeschoolers and teachers on using base ten blocks to teach algebra.

This algebra course is for those who want to make algebra easy and understandable.  Don't try to get through it in a weekend.

The next page is a LONG scroll. But at the end of it you'll be better at teaching algebra than 90% of the teachers who learned algos from the DOE. This is a different way of doing things.

Secrets are revealed. i show you math you won't see anywhere else.

Rule Of 100

This page alone is worth the price of the entire passport.

Mod IV

This vid is obsolete. It doesn't look anything at all like that anymore. NEW video forthcoming.

i accidentally built an algebra course. with my son's in mind for if they were going to teach my grand babies because i'm not around. It is like a video text book for homeschoolers. There are links and videos galore. My g/f was teasing me, i made one super long page into three super long pages.

This video is now obsolete i just leave it here so you can compare and contrast the old with the new. Evidence that the site really does improve over time.

Integrate third power algebra into lessons with the wee ones. i show you how. Never scary always fun. Like doing puzzles. Look at all te different ways we can build it. Yes you teach it concurrently with addition  and subtraction and when it comes time for base ten division they already understand the concepts. You'll see. These are not claims i have it on video...so you can see these lessons for yourself.  i do them with SPED students as well. If the method works with the autistic it will work with so called regular littles as well.

Engineers usually look at this and fourth power with a mix of wonder ad regret.

b&W 3rd power factoringApparently, i didn't stress it enough that this isn't really advanced algebra. We're just counting. My little boys are 4 and 5 years old. We are just counting. Third power taught right along side addition. Nothing ADHD about it.

If little kids can learn what are considered "advanced" algebra concepts playing with base ten blocks, so can you...for many it will be the first time you actually understand what you are doing and what the symbols mean instead of just memorizing formulas and/or rules and process.

Make sure to take advantage of all the free stuff first...especially when it comes to factoring positive polynomials and basic problem solving. We are just going to build on the simple concepts you learned there.

Here is a FREE video showing how to use "advanced" algebra to teach "remedial" math.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2smCffE8knw

And here is a FREE page on completing the square that leads to a password protected page with lots of vids on just this one topic.

It will make sense in a just few minutes.

Speaking of square numbers, Pythagorean Theorem Is easy and fun when you use this method.  Another great page you can access with your module iv password. "Advanced algebra" doesn't have to be difficult.

Here is a longer video covering what you can expect on the other side...and it also includes info on a few other pages too, because once you get into this page there are links to other topics that many would consider advanced algebra.

If you are a homeschool parent who failed algebra, have no fear: you will learn right alongside your children. I will show you how to present it so that it's fun and easy instead of being feared and loathed. If you already understand it for yourself but find turning the volume up doesn't help your kids understand it and are needing a little help explaining to others the vids on the next page will clear a lot of things up very quickly.   Don't just watch them, get your blocks out and follow along. Math is not a spectator sport.

Here is a short video I made explaining the distributive theory as applied to two binomials multiplied together.

Distributive Theory Of Multiplication.

At bare minimum you should go through and be comfortable with all the problems on this Polynomial PDF ⇐FREE PDF before you spend  much time on the next page.

This is a great PDF that lists the polynomials used to teach all 45 addends plus the multiplication facts.  At the house of math algebra is one of the ways you teach addition and multiplication....you don't need to know and have your multiplication tables memorized first, but you do need to understand some basic algebra concepts and how to build a rectangle with the base ten blocks.

And pardon me: for those of you that can't do math, the November 2020 election was absolutely stolen.  Very basic math. Trump won in a landslide, so did a lot of others...this is why YOU need math.  This will be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt in 2025.

Numberphile & Numberphile2 Are excellent channels. They give great explanations about mathematical concepts.  This should definitely be one of your bookmarked or subscribed to YouTube pages. Hours of fun Math Enrichment here. i lose hours of time here and sometimes watch videos i've already watched more than once over again.

The Essence Of Calculus

The Essence of Calculus

"3Blue1Brown."   [He has over 1 million subscribers.] Since i last updated this he now has over 7.21 million YouTube subscribers. Well deserved. Many of his videos are priceless. He has quite a few videos on all manner of topics.  There are a couple of them that i like so much they actually appear on some of my pages because he does such excellent animations, some of them are perfect for use with base 10 blocks. He can teach you calculus, derivation and integration and more.

Another channel i like very much is James Tanton's YouTube channel.

Bonus Video Lessons:
The Essence Of Linear Algebra

Here are 16 lesson on linear algebra for FREE. The link takes to a youtube channel i know you will enjoy.  Binge watch his videos.  Highly recommended.

Now you will appreciate my lessons on y = mx + b even more. This used to be on the advanced algebra page now it's its own page. Playing at the doughnut factory, learning linear algebra.
