Many of the lessons on this page are unavailable anywhere else. They are unlisted on Youtube or are on the Password Protected Screencasts page. (The Password is the same everywhere at the moment.)
You need to understand the 5 basic concepts, have the ability to count to nine, form a rectangle and tell whether something is same or different or not to be able to do ANY of the math on this page, introduce concepts with three period lesson and be able to get your hands on the blocks watching vids is great, but you need to get your hands on the blocks! This removes the last few percent of people who "don't get it", because something happens when you add the tactile/kinesthetic aspect...I can't stress this enough.

Also shows off their ability to memorize, which is a natural ability most children have, especially after they hear or watch a video repeatedly. Most kids can repeat lines from Disney movies why not the Greek Alphabet and the quadratic formula? I can still spit out the ingredients for a Big Mac even though those commercials haven't been on the air since the 70's...
Here are some basic lessons, building addends for 10:

Here is a 45 min vid playing math teaching various concepts:
Another half hour with Commander Colby:
Look at all the math on this website, and all the Youtube vids and you'd think all this stuff would be mastered by now, parents and teachers often make the mistake of thinking we went over this once already they should know it...you need to go over it 18 times just to get into the short term to mid term memory to get into the long term memory or to get to instant recall you have to build a nuero-pathway and that takes upwards of 36 impressions...and we can see we are making progress but we aren't there yet. Perfectly normal. They will attain mastery not just of basic ops but algebra, fractions, percentages etc.
Here he is building a house of addends and a whole lot more as seen in the blog post "Addends, Pythagoras and Math Fun":
Here is a 20 minute Lesson On Algebra:
Here is a compilation of vids showing how to reduce rational expressions:

This video is great. You should be able to really see the method at work. You also see a real genuine lesson with two brothers tears and all, but mostly you see the laughter and how a little competition ads to the fun and excitement.
Compound Teaching Square Root:
This is a good lesson showing how to switch through a few concepts and focus on ONE, which is the square root symbol and what it means, while learning and reinforcing lots of math along the way.
Here is just the last 16 minutes if you already watched the vids on the blog.
