Here is a 45 min (aprox.) showing a sample lesson:
I got almost 45 min of an hour lesson...this is not exactly advanced algebra but it does show a third power problem.
Watch some other videos first and come back to these if you haven't spent some time with this method and factoring. Don't forget to go to the sample lessons page there is a bunch of stuff there on algebra too. People have told me that they have learned more algebra on this one page than they did all year at school...
Also a couple of vids on PERCENTAGES are there. Password is always the same everywhere so if you can get here you can get there.
Here is a new vid that will eventually have it's own page (it does, Sarah has her own page now):
This is the only place on the entire world wide web (that I know of) that shows you how to use base ten blocks like this!!! Over two hours of video is contained there.
Here is a bit of pre-calculus:
Constant rate surface area and volume and a little on the circle pie diameter and circumference and their relationships...
Vids are being added pretty consistantly. So check back HERE often. There are new private screencasts going up but also unlisted videos on Youtube. Soon I will have a video hosting site were all of the videos will be in one place. When that happens PRICES for passwords are definitely going to go UP. As you can tell from the rest of my site I give you more than your dollars worth...THANK YOU FOR COMING.
Here is a partial list of Private Youtube Videos:
Crewton Ramone Difference Of Two Squares, Trinomials with One Negative Factor
At the moment it's a short list but it will be growing, I haven't kept up with it. Anybody with a link can watch these so don't send this link to people who haven't gotten themselves a password. If these vids start getting a disproportionate amount of hits I will take them down.
All these vids below are available on YouTube for FREE except the last one...there are 3 or 4 more 15 min or so coming that you won't get on YouTube and lots of links to words and pictures on this site and on the blog will also be added...all for a buck.
Also have some surprises in store so check back often.
Older students and teachers should breeze through this in a few hours, for younger students this is weeks and weeks worth of material. Older students should take note that they should do many problems more than once to get to the level of mastery required to ace algebra tests on factoring. Watching 2 hours of video does not a math pro make.
Also I will have some eCourse soon. Those will be $35.00 and be several hours long.
Watch these videos in order (these are free vids btw):
Three period lesson:
Getting familiar with the blocks:
Introduction, Division:
Begin factoring.
Building bigger rectangles.
Cross teaching with the algebra:
Distribution.
Completing the square.
The videos on the screencast page are NOT Public. If you have watched all the videos above now you are ready to see these. Last but not leaste: Negatives...
These are private and currently on Youtube. Please don't share the links, if you do I will take them down and move them a place where a password is required. It's just a few bucks...
